I setup my Kanthaka double kick with harder 97a Micros. They're great for practicing technique on flat streets and/or slower speeds. Since they break into slides so easily, you can focus on mastering your form and technique at slower speeds. Then when I head for the hills, I slap on something softer in the 85a range.
If you're used to riding softer wheels, these 97a will feel different. They ride on top of the pavement, compared to how softer wheels dig more into the street surface. Since they glide across the top, you feel the easy in breaking into slides.
The only downside is they ride harder if you looking for one wheel that does it all. Stick to the softer 83a Micros if you're looking for something that can shred it all.
