Built The Right Way
We may be the only company that installs bearing spacers on every longboard. Bearing spacers provide precise alignment of the bearings, making them faster, last longer, and reduces wheel wear.
We developed our own riser pad made from urethane, the same durable shock absorbing material used for wheels. Our urethane riser pad creates a smoother ride, keeps hardware tight and extends the life of your longboard.
We use stainless steel hardware because it's stronger and rust resistant. We also dreamed up the nylon seating washer, which prevents the hardware from tearing up the grip tape.
Similar to the way your favorite tire company installs the lug nuts on your wheels, we use a torque driver to ensure every screw and nut is installed with the same amount of pressure.
What Is a Longboard
Longboards are typically characterized by a longer, wider deck and large soft wheels. Longboards provide a more stable and confortable ride than a regular skateboard. The added stability, comfort and ease of longboarding translates into a form of transportation that is eco-friendly, healthy and enjoyable for all ages and skill levels. Longboard skateboards have become increasingly popular as a mode of transportation. People use longboards for commuting to the office, cruising to class on college campuses, and training for winter sports like snowboarding.
LONGBOARD CONSTRUCTION AND STYLES
Longboards come in many different materials, such as wood, wood composites [blend of more than one material], and full composites [absence of wood]. Wood is the most familiar material, and offer a very light and stiff platform. Boards with a low amount of flex are good for cruising since a flexible board may rob you of energy from the up and down motion. Wood composite boards are usually thinner, stronger, and have added flexibility. The flexibility of these boards are great for carving, where the flex creates a spring action pumping in and out of turns. Popular longboard styles include pintails, cruisers, drop through and drop down longboards. Each specific style provides a custom ride whether its bombing a hill at 40mph or cruising through the quad on your way to English class.
